Getting Started with Ratebook API
This guide outlines the essential steps to transition from POC to going live with the Ratebook API.
Step 1: POC - Overview
The Ratebook API empowers travel companies to optimize buy rates and boost margins. By targeting the checkout stage, it dynamically identifies the best buy rate at the moment of conversion, ensuring you maximize profitability with clear buyer intent.
To begin using Ratebook and start enhancing your profits, the first step is a seamless Proof of Concept (POC) process.
For testing credentials and additional information, please contact the Gimmonix Sales team.
Partners opting for a POC have two options:
- Use your own supplier credentials for a realistic simulation.
- Leverage Gimmonix's Aggregated Network of suppliers.

Step 2: Client to fill On-Boarding Form
A link to the onboarding form will be provided to the partner. Once the form is completed, the team will proceed with setting up the client in the Gimmonix system.
Additionally, a Zendesk ticket will be raised to the client, containing API credentials and access to Gimmonix (Grafana) dashboards for insights and monitoring.
Step 3: On-Boarding Process
On-Boarding / Training Session
The onboarding process begins with a meeting between the Gimmonix Technical Support team and the partner's Development, QA, and other relevant teams.
During the training session, we will cover the following:
- Best practices and implementation guidance.
- Overview of Pros and Cons for different flows.
- Insights and Monitoring overview.
- Q&A Session to address any Partners questions.

Step 4: Implementation
Partner's Implementation.
Support during and after Implementation
Our support team is committed to providing support for swift and effective integration, as well as ongoing assistance post-integration.
Should you need help, have questions, or seek clarification either during or after the integration process, you have two options for support:
- Search in our Documentation for the information you need. (Recommended)
- Submit a ticket to our dedicated support team.
Step 5: Certification
Once the partner's implementation is complete, two final steps must be completed to certify the integration and go live:
- Supplier Credentials: If not already provided, partner will share supplier credentials at this stage so they can be configured and set-up in the Gimmonix system.
- Booking Simulation: Provide a sample .csv file of your recent bookings, which we will use to automate a simulation of Ratebook requests.
This process will populate monitoring and insight tools with data, allowing us to verify that the integration is functioning smoothly. By simulating real-time behavior, we can confirm that the systems are fully synchronized and ready be switched to Live.
Step 6: Going Live
After certification is complete, the support team will provide Live credentials, enabling you to process Live bookings and begin maximizing your profits.
This credentials can be used immediately, with Live operation of the Ratebook API.
Working with Test and Live:
Partners will retain access to their POC/Testing credentials alongside the 'Live' credentials.
These (POC/Testing credentials) can be used for ongoing testing and development purposes.
Please ensure the credentials are saved and clearly distinguished for proper usage.
